Taana pairs heritage handloom craft with modern tailoring — every piece carries the name of the weaver who made it, and the district the yarn came from.
We work directly with handloom clusters across Maheshwar, Chanderi, and Kanchipuram, translating centuries-old weaves into shapes built for boardrooms, sangeets, and everything in between.
No two bolts of our fabric are identical — a small imperfection in the weave is not a flaw, it is a signature. It means a person, not a machine, made what you're wearing.
Each collection is cut in limited runs — once a bolt of fabric is used, that print does not return.
Zari-bordered silks in mustard, wine, and deep teal — built for the week of celebrations.
₹8,500 — ₹24,000Hand-embroidered Banarasi and Kanjivaram pieces, made to order with your family's motifs.
₹32,000 — ₹1,10,000Handloom cottons cut for the daily commute — office to evening, no change of outfit needed.
₹3,200 — ₹9,800Five stages, six to ten weeks, one continuous thread from yarn to finished garment.
Our design table sketches the season around the handloom motifs already in progress at the cluster.
Cotton, silk, and zari are sourced regionally and dyed using natural indigo, madder, and turmeric.
Master weavers set the warp — "taana" — by hand, a process that alone can take up to four days.
Our Delhi atelier cuts and constructs each garment to the individual measurements on file.
Hand-finished hems, hooks, and linings, checked twice before the piece ever reaches you.
"My wedding lehenga took ten weeks and every one of them showed in the finishing. Guests kept asking who made it."
"I wear the Roz kurta set to work three days a week. It's the only handloom piece that survives a Mumbai commute."
"Taana sent me a photo of the weaver who made my saree. That's the first time a fashion label has done that for me."
